Gradient Glitter!

My light blue manicure with silver gradient glitter fading from top to bottom

Denise's (my older sister) nude manicure with gunmetal gradient glitter fading from bottom to top
Gradient glitter nails are so versatile in the sense that you are able to have super tacky sparkly nails, but not too much glitter that it overpowers the whole outfit. I love chunky glitter manicures but the faded glitter gives me a little bit more of a refined sense of style. Since this is a gel manicure it will last about a month, so gradient glitter manicures are a little more sensible since you are going to have to match it with every outfit that you wear.

Ice Cream + Nails = Best Manicure EVER!

I have been obsessing over getting a fancy manicure with cool and over the top nail art since the beginning of 8th grade. 8th grade graduation was approaching and all of my friends were going to receive gifts for graduating, so i immediately knew that this was the right time to mention to my Mom how much i would love and appreciate a Valley manicure (a nail salon that is the NYC equivalent to the London "Wah Nails" or the L.A. "Chi Nail Bar")  I knew that my Mom would definitely not be fine with paying $80 dollars every 3 weeks, which is apparently how long gel manicures are supposed to last for me to have gorgeous over the top nails on a regular basis, so i knew that i had to go all out with this manicure. I decided to go with 3-D ice cream cones on my ring fingers, which were each priced at $12 dollars. If i had gotten nail art on all of my fingers, this manicure would have been at least $200 dollars! The process to make the ice cream cones on my nails was fascinating! They made me a custom gold glitter base and then mixed together some weird paint and made the color for the lines. After that, Ayumi (my nail technician who i highly recommend, since she is an absolute expert at what she does) made the ice cream part that was like a thick paste, and then i chose from many types of gems to put on my ice cream cones. I got my manicure on June 21st and i still have it on! But, some of my plain nails chipped but the ice cream cones are still on! I think i might take off the manicure since my nails have grown out and it sort of shows.

Wild For Wildfox

I scream L.A. destroyed sweater $138
Covered in kisses classic V-neck $64

Did someone say diamonds classic V neck $64

Breakfast desert crew neck $64

I think that my biggest obsession for summer 2013 is definitely Wildfox Couture. Wildfox is a young, colorful brand that every teenager dreams of. What i like in particular are their tee shirts, which are super cute. Here are a few of my favorites from their website http://www.wildfoxcouture.com/.

July 4th Can Last Forever

Although i do not own any patriotic clothing items with the American flag somehow incorporated on to it, i think that my closet might have a drastic change. One of my personal style icons, Fiona Byrne who writes the website byrnenotice.com came out with a shoe collaboration with www.modernvice.com that is surprisingly cool and a bit tacky. The price for these leather, American made boots is a bit steep for my price range for shoes especially since i'm only 13, but maybe with a bit of convincing these could end up in my wardrobe!
The Fiona Byrne x Modern Vice distressed leather boot is called American Flag Bond

My Love For Loafers

Ever since my sister bought a gorgeous pair of silver studded loafers from the soho boutique, Wink, I have been obsessed with that type of shoe. They are comfy, fashion forward, and so many designers have been making them like Marc By Marc Jacobs or even the upcoming Italian shoe designer Chiara Ferragni.

Or the extremely adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs Shorty Velvet Dog Loafers
